This hasn't meant too much change to life at work, with the same clients and same projects continue, except for a little bit more paper work. Until 4 weeks ago.
4 weeks ago Dan's work moved office from Mitchelon to Milton. Closer to head office, infact in the building right next door. What this does mean is that now instead of bumming a lift to/from work with the secretary, and taking no more than 5 minutes to get there. Dan now has to:
1 - Walk/Skate to Keperra trian station (10 minutes)
2 - Catch a train into town (20 minutes)
3 - Change trains (5 minutes)
4 - Catch a train to Milton (5 minutes)
5 - Walk/Skate to Work (10 minutes)
Add in the time that you wait at the stations and a 5 mintue trip to work is now roughly from doorstep to doorstep - 1hr 15min. Bummer.
True, Dan does get to skate (the trip to the station is basically all downhill - FUN, but that does mean the trip home is uphill - NOT SO FUN, good excercise though), and then there's the book reading on the train (so far a new book each week).
But how does that weigh up to the time Dan misses spending with Roz and Ari??

Not worth it. But that's life.
